What is Resistance?

Resistance is the force that reduces or stops the flow of electrons. It opposes voltage.

Higher resistance will decrease the flow of electrons and lower resistance will allow more electrons to flow.

  1. hi friend,
we can even simplify this topic with a small analogy of a dam/weir/a check dam which will oppose the flow of flowing water in such a way that the resistance opposes the flow of current in a circuit...just we will have an even simplified approach . .

  2. Soumya, thanks for your comments.

I request you to go through the older posts about resistors.

We have already discussed the Water Analogy.
